Heading into 2013, the Lexus GX460 continues on completely unchanged from 2012.
The GX460 uses a 4.6-litre V8 with six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. It is body-on-frame architecture and includes full-time four-wheel drive with low range and Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) for on-road ride and true off-road capability. Seating is three-row. It is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser, a model not sold in Canada.
Trim levels are the Premium and Ultra Premium.

The Ultra Premium adds three-zone automatic climate control, automatic air recirculation control system, 17-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio, voice-activated navigation system, automatic high beam feature, power-folding auto-dimming rearview mirrors, cooled console box, wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel, and African Bubinga wood trim.
